Lifelong Floridian

Andrew was born in Sarasota and raised in Valrico,
FL. He studied economics, along with government
and world affairs, at the University of Tampa as a
Navy. While at UT, Andrew completed the duties of
the Navy ROTC scholarship recipient. While at UT,
he completed an internship with County
Commissioner Mark Sharpe and served as study
body President.

Veteran Naval Officer

Upon graduation, Andrew commissioned as an
officer in the United States Navy, where he served

on active duty for 4 years. He was a Surface War-
fare Officer who specialized as his ship’s Boarding

Officer – leading small teams during two
deployments to the Middle East and North Africa.
He has led boarding teams combating Somali
piracy in the Gulf of Aden and worked in support of
operations against ISIS in Iraq and Syria. In 2014,
as a Lieutenant, Andrew transitioned to the United
States Naval Reserve where he still serves today in
support of Special Operations Command Central.
In 2016, Andrew deployed to Bahrain as the Lead
Surface Planner for Commander Task Force 51/5th
Marine Expeditionary Brigade.
For his service, Andrew has received the Navy and
marine Corps Commendation Medal, among others.

Small Business Owner

Andrew owns and manages a neighborhood
learning center called GradePower Learning.
His location was named #1 new location in the
140-center-strong Oxford Learning family and won
the President’s Award in 2016 for being #1
overall in their mission of help struggling students
reach higher in school.
In 2014, Andrew was recognized by the Tampa Bay
Business Journal for his successful business and
service to the community.

Local Leader

Growing his own business has shown Andrew that
today’s business leaders face the same challenges
as the previous generation: selective regulation
and limited access to funding. To face those
challenges, Andrew knows we need to restore a
strong working-class by creating the jobs of
tomorrow here at home.
Families deserve a representative, like Andrew,
who will fight for vibrant, local communities for all
citizens of every age and economic background.
